The Cliff Dwellings of Mesa Verde !!!!


At the Visitor Center

We took a Guided Tour of the "Cliff Palace", where our Ranger Joe made Thomas and Katarina
her little helpers and their got to lead the Tour down to the Palace.


Katarina got to grind some Corn, just like in the olden days....



Thank you Ranger Joe you made it so much fun for all of us !!!






Here we are at the " Spruce Tree House "



We are in a socalled kiva which is : kiva is a room used by modern Puebloans for religious rituals, many of them associated with the kachina belief system. Among the modern Hopi and most other Pueblo peoples, kivas are square-walled and underground, and are used for spiritual ceremonies.
